Emagagu are a dynamic Eswatini music group from Manzini, known for blending Swati cultural influences, trap, Afro-pop and contemporary African sounds into a distinctive musical identity.
Rooted in Eswatini’s culture while embracing modern production and performance styles, Emagagu use music to celebrate identity, storytelling and the experiences of a new generation of African creatives. Their energetic performances, authentic image and strong connection to their roots have helped them build growing recognition within the Eswatini music industry.
Their journey gained significant momentum after winning the Limuva Lami Arts Competition and later being crowned winners of the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition, opening the door to major performance opportunities including MTN Bushfire and the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival.
Emagagu have continued expanding their presence through live performances, radio appearances and industry platforms, including a special live and unplugged session on EBIS 1. Their growing impact was further recognised when they received the Best Newcomer Artist award at the Regional Eswatini National Arts & Culture Awards in Manzini.
